LAWS & REGULATIONS
Laws & Regulations
We at GlassCraft Door Company are dedicated to producing the highest quality wood products through sustainable and environmentally responsible practices. As part of this commitment, we ensure all our applicable products comply with the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) regulations.
MDF Barn Doors
All doors produced by GlassCraft Door Company are labeled to certify that they meet federal emissions standards. Our MDF Barn Doors meet these standards and are labeled to notify our customers that they meet these requirements.
WARNING: These products contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer. Drilling, sawing, sanding, or machining wood products, in particular MDF, generates wood dust, a substance known to the State of California to cause cancer. Avoid inhaling wood dust or use a dust mask or other safeguards for personal protection.
Formaldehyde Standards for Composite Wood Products Act
All composite wood products must be compliant with the EPA’s Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) Title VI regulation. This certification and our compliance statements are also included in all our invoices and order acknowledgments. The EPA established Title VI of TSCA to regulate the chemical emissions produced by three important composite wood products: hardwood plywood, medium-density fiberboard (MDF), and particleboard.
California Prop 65 and TSCA Title 6
California’s Proposition 65 entitles California consumers to special warnings for products that contain chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. We are providing the following warnings in connection with products advertised on this web site manufactured by GlassCraft Door Company.
